Sedation Dentistry
Imagine a dental appointment in a very relaxed state of mind. Imagine sleeping through your visits while accomplishing the dental treatment that was avoided for years due to fear and anxiety. Dr. Slocum and Dr. Lundgaard have extensive training in conscious sedation and can administer oral medication and nitrous gas to help reduce or even eliminate the fear and anxiety associated with dental treatment. Conscious sedation is extremely safe and will help you achieve and maintain the smile of your dreams.
Laser Dentistry
Dr. Slocum and Dr. Lundgaard utilize laser technology to provide amazing results that reshape or re-contour your gum tissue to enhance your new smile. Lasers can also be used to eliminate diseased gum tissue associated with gingival hyperplasia or periodontal disease. Dental lasers are safe, effective, quiet and painless techniques that produce incredible results.
Digital X-Rays
With this exciting new technology the dentist and the patient can view the image on a computer screen just seconds after the exposure. The sensors that are used to capture the image are extremely sensitive which benefits the patient by decreasing their x-ray exposure by 90%. The images are a higher resolution than film images and can be stored in the computer memory. Digital images can easily be retrieved, combined and manipulated to provide the clinician with the necessary information to aid in providing optimal dental health care.
Intraoral Camera
The intraoral camera is a new and exciting technology that allows Dr. Slocum and Dr. Lundgaard to capture very detailed photographs of the teeth. These images can then be projected onto a computer screen for further evaluation. Once on the screen the image can be saved, rotated, magnified, printed or even sent electronically for billing purposes. Intraoral photographs also provide an excellent educational tool to help discuss any concerns the dentist may have regarding the diagnosis and treatment plan.
